Hopefully this is the last chapter in the Bell’s Palsy saga. I finally found a doctor who was able to treat my stink-eye. I had the painful ordeal of switching my Tricare just so I could pursue it while I’m up in Ohio. It was an ass-pain but all worth it in the end. (For the backstory, if interested, just type in Palsy on the search box).
This certain ophthalmologist didn’t say I needed an MRI or plastic surgery like the other doctors did. He just told me he could shoot me up with a little toxic dead bacteria instead! Even better, he got me in later that day! EVEN BETTER, Tricare covers blepharospasms!! Yay me, I won!!!
Now, the first picture was from the previous post taken over a week ago. The bottom one was taken today (just had to throw in Brenden to add the cuteness factor). There is still a little bit of asymmetry in my eye and face which will never go away but it’s definitely not as noticeable was before.
Now that I know the Botox works, it’s something I’m going to have to keep up with every 3 or so months. What I’ll need to do now is find a doctor who does it down in Savannah and then where ever we may end up in the future. As for now, chapter closed.
