GunshipThis past week, I got the opportunity to go up in a Gunship and see what that’s all about.  Aside from interacting with Air Force peers (something a rarely get to do in this job), the guys in the back let me load and “shoot” the guns.

Sure, I bet most of you have shot 5.56/7.62 and 9 millimeter rounds, as well as .38, .44 and .45 caliber rounds.  Hell, even some of you have a little experience with the 20 millimeter.  But I’d be willing to bet that very few that read this blog (if any at all) have ever shot a 25 millimeter round, a 40 millimeter round, or the mighty 105 millimeter round.  I even got to keep my brass for proof!
