Much of today was spent Christmas shopping with Pam. Even though we put up the tree (a real tree) the weekend after Thanksgiving, it was nice to get back into the spirit and get the lion’s share of gifts bought. My parents are heading out on Thursday to celebrate Christmas with Pam and me since I really can’t go anywhere being “on call” with the military. So the last push to make sure they had some stuff under the tree when they arrive was made today.
We also bought some smelly candles (pine tree and mistletoe smelling ones) just to add that extra touch to the house (since the scents of your traditional Christmas are what really get me in the mood). So a little shopping here, a little decorating there, and I’m back in the spirit again. It just sucks because Savannah really doesn’t get your white Christmas that I grew up with and loved. I wish I lived in the North! So with the festivities of the next coming weeks, I even revamped the website a little to acknowledge the season that I’m thankful I’ll be home for… ’tis the season.
